Our Process
Even if you have family nearby to assist you in sorting, packing, and unpacking, we’ve found that downsizing belongings tends to be the most overwhelming part of the moving process. Some decisions are too hard for you and your loved ones to make on your own, so we come in with a fresh perspective and offer many solutions for you to find new homes for your belongings, sell items of value, and capture the memories of things you struggle to part with.
Free downsizing consultation
First we will meet with you at your home to discuss your needs and your moving plan. From there we will discuss your move management options and together we will create a plan for managing your move.
Create customized floorplan
Our customized floorplans help you visualize how your furniture will fit into your new space. It also serves as a communication tool so you, our team, and the movers all know what’s happening on move day.
Sorting
Our team works with you and your loved ones to sort through your belongings to decide what stays, what goes to storage, what to sell, what to donate, and what memories to preserve.
Packing
Once we have a plan for your belongings we will safely pack them and label them for their next destination.
Liquidation Service
We will work with our team of appraisers, auctioneers, estate managers, and resale professionals to liquidate your items of value.
Managing Move Day
After your house is packed up, we will arrive on move day to manage and assist the movers as they load and unload your items. This includes the use of the customized floorplan to assist the movers with your preference on placement of furniture. ks with you and your loved ones to sort through your belongings to decide what stays, what goes to storage, what to sell, what to donate, and what memories to preserve.
Unpacking
We will unpack your items and utilize the floorplan to organize your home as you want it set up. If the movers require more time on move day, we will unpack your essentials (make your bed, set out bathroom items, coffee pot, breakfast items, etc.) to make sure you are comfortable and safe until we return the following day to complete the unpacking.
